This remix was made for BeatRoot 2012, a beat battle put on by the Lightsleepers crew in Hawaii. I was the winner of the sixth preliminary round but was quickly eliminated in the championship. This song was first developed for a round of the competition that required us to create a beat using only elements of the Ohio Players album Pleasure. I later extended the song. I have found the 3/4 time signature to be quite disorienting to live audiences when played alongside a set of songs in 4/4.
