about

The eight remixes on ‘Remixes’ were created between 2009 and 2013 for my solo project Welwing, a way for me to experiment with and learn about making music as a side project from my main concern, Clones of the Queen.

Two of the songs (the ‘Funky Worm’ and ‘B.O.B’ remixes) were created for the Beatroot competition, and the ‘Possessions’ remix was commissioned. The rest were the products of whim.

Now that I have moved from Hawaii, I decided to wrap up the loose ends of the songs I'd created and played live but never released over those four years and put them online for the friends who’d listened along the way.

Thank you for listening.

‘Remixes’ is the third-wheel EP to the two collections of original music ‘Walks’ (welwing.bandcamp.com/album/walks) and ‘Wires’ (welwing.bandcamp.com/album/wires).
